Rex Ryan, who took the Jets to the AFC Championship during his first season as coach, received a contract extension through the 2014 season. So we can only hope for more stories about his sensitive side, his diet post-lap band surgery and his future incidents at non-football sporting events where he flips off taunters and shows off his belly. An ESPN.com column also notes Ryan's signature bravado, "He wants to win it all, and he doesn't want to wait. No sports figure has stepped into this volatile market and talked so boldly about winning a title for a long-suffering franchise since Mark Messier arrived in '91." (And the Rangers ended up winning in 1994!)
