Directly commenting on Star Magazine's "exclusive" that Al Gore has been having an affair with Larry David's ex-wife for the past two years, Laurie David told the Huffington Post the rumors are "completely untrue. It's a total fabrication. I adore both Al and Tipper. I look at them both as family. And I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce." Laurie David, a trustee of the Natural Resources Defense Council and a co-producer of An Inconvenient Truth, divorced husband Larry David in 2007 amid rumors she was having an affair with a gardener at their Martha's Vineyard home.

Though Star quotes an "insider" saying, "Al and Laurie went from friends to lovers," other sources tell the Daily News the rumors are completely untrue. One close friend said, "It's complete crap." Laurie's agent also tells People magazine, "I have no idea where it started from or why, but it is absolutely, positively and patently untrue." Meanwhile, the Globe is reporting Al Gore is involved in a "sensational gay scandal," and the National Enquirer says, "Tipper Gore's jealous rages over other women ripped apart her storybook marriage." What, no sensational gay scandal for her?!?
