A newborn baby was found abandoned at the Sutphin Boulevard F train station at around 8 p.m. last night. The 5-day-old baby was found next to a MetroCard machine, and transported to Jamaica Hospital, where it is in good condition. Just last year a newborn was found abandoned in Nassau County. The child's mother was found to be a prostitute with six other children. Unwanted babies can be brought to a hospital, police station or fire house for care without risk of prosecution to the parent.
