With Newark Airport's lockdown on Sunday night comes a lot of finger pointing. The security breach was caused by a man who walked the wrong way through an exit, and in turn that caused chaos in Terminal C, with thousands of people trapped in delay hell.
Fox News now reports that the Transportation Security Administration "waited more than an hour before calling the Port Authority Police Department once they suspected that a man had breached security." They exclusively obtained a computer dispatch log showing the breach at 5:20 p.m., and the PAPD first getting word of it at 6:40 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Daily News reports that "an airport security guard is facing serious discipline after he left his post and allowed a mystery man to saunter into a supposedly secure passenger area." The TSA only learned of the incident thanks to a bystander waiting in the passenger pick-up area.
