Brooklyn's own Jamal “Gravy” Woolard plays Biggie Smalls in Notorious, a biopic about the late rapper's life that opens today. Chris Richards at the Washington Post pans it, calling the script "lousy" and warning that "those trailers on YouTube may look promising, but don't believe the hype. Notorious... feels like Biggie's Wikipedia page reformatted for the big screen. No era of the iconic Brooklyn rapper's 24 years goes untouched, making a frustrating dash from the playground to the grave, all in less than two hours."

A rather lackluster batch of new movies are being dumped this week, which is okay because so many must-sees opened around the holidays that there's plenty of catching up to do. (Gran Torino, The Wrestler and Waltz With Bashir, for starters.) Anyway, click the images for more on this week's stinkers.
