With just over a week to go before the CMJ music marathon takes over the venues and random spaces in this city...we're finally ready to announce the Gothamist House lineups for this year. One day at a time. As a reminder, this year WOXY will be broadcasting from the space -- so if you find yourself at work you'll still be able to listen in! At the end of the week stay tuned for a Best of Gothamist House podcast, also provided by WOXY. Now without further ado, here is the lineup for day one:
Wednesday October 17th
7:30pm - Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping (website)
6:45pm - Charles Bissell of the Wrens (website)
6:00pm - The Forms (MySpace)
5:15pm - Aaron Behrens (pictured at right)
4:30pm - TBA!
3:45pm - Peasant (MySpace)
3:00pm - O'Death (MySpace)
2:15pm - Cut Off Your Hands (MySpace)
The sets will be a little bit more scaled back than your typical full-on rock show, as an example you'll find a video after the jump of The Forms performing the way they, and most bands, will be at our show. So where is Gothamist House? Like last year, it will be held at White Rabbit (which is filled with lots of comfy couches!) at 145 Houston Street (between Forsyth & Eldridge) October 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th from 2pm to 8pm each day. Admission is free and no badges are required.
We'd also like to thank our sponsors Hey Nielsen! and Tunecore! Stay tuned for more lineup announcements, drink special announcements...and a pretty poster. We hope to see you there!
